That is right Shufflers! Shuffleboard in Florida began on the sidewalk in front of this Daytona Hotel!  The Balls had been so enthused with their shuffling experience on a cruise they had taken that they knew their guests would love the game!

They were correct.   The game at once became popular and a number of the players subscribed the necessary funds to build the first cement court (then called a lane) near the Burgoyne Casino which became the forerunner of countless shuffleboard courts now found scattered throughout practically all of the cities of FL.

Can we, The Shufflers of the 21^st Century, those setting the stage for the 2^nd Hundred Years, demonstrate our enthusiasm, by joining in the Celebration on this our 100^th Anniversary.
