And the MVP goes to Jim Bailey!!

32 Bailey MVPVERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE BEEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE FSA, THE NATIONAL SHUFFLEBOARD ASSOCIATION AND TRAVELED THE WORLD TO PROMOTE OUR SPORT.ONLY 1 PERSON HAS BEEN PROFILED IN ESPN, THE MAGAZINE FOR HIS PLAYING ABILITY.
KNOWN FOR STRONG FAIR LEADERSHIP NONE HAVE DONE IT WITH MORE CLASS AND DIGNITY THAN THIS HONOREE. FROM UPSTATE NEW YORK THIS FORMER MARINE HAD A SUCCESSFUL CAREER WITH KODAK BEFORE COMING TO FLORIDA AND JOINING THE BRADENTON CLUB. HE IS A MEMBER OF MULTIPLE HALL OF FAMES INCLUDING THE FSA AS BOTH A PLAYER AND PRESIDENT.

JIM BAILEYS ACCOMPLISHMENTS CAME DESPITE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES BUT HE LETS NOTHING STAND IN HIS WAY. IN 2009 AT BETMAR HE WON THE WORLD SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP COMING FROM BEHIND TO DEFEAT ANOTHER AMERICAN ON THE LAST SHOT BEFORE A CROWD OF 300. WITH TEARS IN HIS EYES HE HUGGED HIS WIFE NINFA AND WE SAW A SOFTER SIDE OF HIM HE NORMALLY HIDES.  IT IS A GREAT HONOR TO PRESENT THE MOST VALUABLE PERSON PIN TO GENTLEMEN JIM BAILEY.
