I thought this was indicative of the wider respect and remembrance of those who serve in our Military.

This evening, 2014 11 11, we at Woodbrook Park in Lakeland, FL had a Service to Remember and Respect those who had served OR are at present, serving in the Armed Forces  of our two Nations.

As we entered the Community Centre, each Veteran was given a card made by Grade III students of the state of New Jersey.  I hope you are able to read what the student wrote.  Each card was different; it was apparent the student had colored the eagle  and wrote the message without undue influence from the teacher.   I believe it “touched each veteran”.   The cards were handed out by Ron Rulon, himself a Veteran.  I personally wish to thank 3rd grade student Sadie (I will not enter her last name although it was on the card. )

Stan McCormack.  Served in the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) for 12 years.  2014 11 11.
