Lynn Bell has been a committed shuffleboard player for the past 20 years. In addition to the numerous tournament trophies won over the years, her contribution to the sport continues with a strong passion for the game. She organized and ran an in- park “Battle of the Sexes” tournament for eight years, a tournament that is now entering its 20th year. She also gave up her Saturday mornings for six years while she provided orientation classes to new shufflers, many of whom have gone on to be champions in their own right. She co-captained the Alberta Grizzlies Western team since 2005, winning seven championships. She held the position of Vice President of the Western Shuffleboard Tournament from 2007-2009 and then became President, a position held from 2009 -2011. During her Presidency of the Western ShuffleboardTournament her biggest accomplishment came when she successfully lead changes to have the tournament sanctioned and recognized as a national event the U.S. National Shuffleboard Association. Lynn is a dedicated shuffler who has committed herself to advancing the game at every opportunity.
