SUBJECT: 2016 ISA Hall of Fame Inductees
The highest honour that the International Shuffleboard Association can bestow upon an individual is to be inducted into its eternal Hall of Fame. It’s our way of saying, “Thank You” for their many years of dedicated service to expanding our cause and supporting Shuffleboard around the world. To be recognized on the local, state and the national level is a significant achievement; now broaden the scope of the recognition to ISA member nations, literally around the world, and such recognition, and the associated reward truly enhances the meaning of being inducted into the INTERNATIONAL HALL OF FAME. Since its inception in 1993 only 69 individuals from various nations have been inducted and sadly many of them are no longer with us in body however their image and legacy lives on inside the halls of the HOF located at the Clearwater Shuffleboard Club in Clearwater, Florida, USA.
In early May 2016, the 10 voting members of the ISA met electronically and read all of the submitted nomination packages and they selected 3 outstanding individuals to be the 2016 inductees into the Hall of Fame.
I am proud to announce the 2016 inductees are: Don Breau of Canada in the Special Category, Bernar Borges of Brazil and Sebastian Runge of Germany in the Player category. Their induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at 19:00 hours in St. Cloud, Florida, during the 35th ISA World Shuffleboard Championship. Please do come out and show your appreciation and join us for this most special dinner and ceremony in their honour.
Sincerely,
Michael Robert Zellner
