Alberta Canadian Shuffleboard Association Tournament
Brian Scott Speaks: Local Club president and Tournament Director, Jack Sell, was master of ceremonies at the opening of the Art Scott Singles tournament on Monday June 13th. This four event tournament was initiated by its name sake, CNSA Hall of Famer, Art Scott. Art was a well-known shuffler here in Alberta and Arizona where he wintered for 35 years. In Alberta he worked hard to promote the sport of shuffleboard and was instrumental in bring the ISA World Championship to Edmonton in 1992. He purchased the roll out courts and equipment from that event and started a shuffleboard club in central Alberta. He was president of the Alberta Canadian Shuffleboard Association for more than 20 years and simultaneously acted as tournament director and charter for all the tournaments. Art passed away in 2014.
