Once again we are about to meet for our 35th World Shuffleboard Team Championship. Our Host city is the beautiful St. Cloud, Florida and together with John Poole, Gail Bartashy and their team at the Kissimmee Sports Commission and Tom Gionet, Jack and Carol Byron and Barbara Fournier of the St. Cloud Shuffleboard Club are working diligently to make this one of the most memorable World Shuffleboard Championships to date. Both organizations are doing a wonderful job to meet or exceed all of our championship requirements. The Embassy Suites Hotel is quite charming and extending its arms in preparation of our week long invasion from 13 nations. Chef Ahmed is carefully planning our Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet meals promising to leave us in awe. The championship facilities at the St. Cloud Shuffleboard Club has been renovated in preparation of our visit. The courts are sparkling and as professional as can be for the best-of-the-best in the world to compete on them. If you were one of the 100 selected competitors I congratulate you and look forward to meeting each and every one of you at the World Championship from 22 – 28 October 2016.
My parting advice too you all is:
Practice, Practice and more practice because you are about to come face to face, on the court of battle, with the best shuffleboard players from 13 nations.
