Earl Ball Comments on the Diversity and the Connectivity of theshuffler.net

1st MAIN Stan and Max -WHAT DOES IT TAKE!

18-earl-ball (3)Earl Ball Speaks:  Yesterday as I went through my weight lifting regiment at the YMCA I watched two Physical Trainers working with the individual who wanted help and it struck me that they both were very good at what they did but one was much more successful than the other.  It made me think about why!

It struck me—one was much more enthusiastic and passionate than the other which inspired his pupil to be determined to succeed.  It has stayed with me all weekend and then I started to read this web site and catch up with all the great stories that are happening in so many different places.  I couldn’t help but think about what it takes to “stay with it so to speak” in writing a blog that helps us all stay connected with each other around the World.  But of course we all know what it takes; enthusiasm & passion for your subject, dedication & determination to keep your readers interested and involved and how lucky are we all that the site has been around in one form or another for at least the last 14 years.  Think about it—how much would we really know if it weren’t for Stan who by the way is a pretty fair shuffler; he is, along with his partner, Max Tate, the reigning Canadian National Champion and that’s not an easy feat when your mind is on so many other things.  Things he doesn’t want us to miss!

Thanks Stan—from all of us I’m sure.

Well said Earl and thanks to Stan for a job well done and underappreciated. We don’t thank him enough for the efforts and time he puts in to keep us all informed.

It is no wonder why we have coined the nick-name EARL THE PEARL.
