INTEGRATED TRAVEL DAYS: SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT!!

2008 ISA TRAVEL DAY 2008 ISA TRAVEL DAY.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:

While on the subject of AUSTRALIAN SHUFFLEBOARD I thought I would use it as a segue to raise the topic of TRAVEL DAYS for ISA Events!!   I believe it is something the ISA Board should address in St Cloud FL.  One can make the case that those wishing to Add A Little Extra to their journey can merely book a couple of additional days >> either before or after the Tournament.  Having said that; an incorporated Travel Day is more likely to add to the social enjoyment because We Are On Singing Together!! Enjoying together!!   AS AN EXAMPLE OF THAT ENJOYMENT, click here: http://photopeach.com/album/10cvncv  Great Slideshow of our MOST ENJOYABLE AUSTRALIAN Travel Day.

One alternative to ensure we recognize that some among us have employment responsibilities, (like jobs?)   would be to have the Travel Day at the very end of the Event.

Brazil TOO had a fascinating Travel Day!!  https://theshuffler.net/2016/08/04/memories-of-shufflers-who-visited-rio-in-2005-thanks-brazilian-shufflers-link-to-slide-show-in-article/    Look for the link to the Slide Show near the end of the article.

If you feel strongly about either option, may I suggest you leave your opinion in the COMMENTS section >> (below the article > The Something to Think About Article)

  1. Ladies and gentlemen I have always been in favor of a one day stop in the middle of the international tournament for us to enjoy each other’s cimpany, friendship and culture sharing while visiting and exploring some of the Hosts local on points of interest. It’s not the same to do this before or after the tournament alone. Our international championships have always been based on cultural exchange and getting to know better our international fans of the same sport and not a knock down drag out tournament which I’m afraid we’ve moved into by canceling our mid championship cultural day off.
