St. Cloud, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2016) – The St. Cloud Shuffleboard Court is the site for the International Shuffleboard Association’s 35th World Championship that features players from 13 countries participating in the international event. Mayor Rebecca Borders, Deputy Mayor Jeff Rinehart, Council Member Dave Askew and City Manager Joe Helfenberger greeted the 103 players from around the world Oct. 24 during the championship’s opening ceremony. The competition events continue through Oct. 28, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at the St. Cloud Shuffleboard Court (701 Ohio Ave.), a 24-court facility. Everyone is invited to stop by to cheer the teams from Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.

St. Cloud, Fla. (24 de octubre del 2016) – El St. Cloud Shuffleboard Court es el lugar donde se lleva a cabo el Campeonato Mundial Trigésimo Quinto del International Shuffleboard Association, el cual cuenta con 13 países participando en el evento internacional. La alcaldesa, Rebecca Borders; el vicealcalde, Jeff Rinehart; el miembro del concilio, Dave Askew; y el administrador del Municipio de St. Cloud, Joe Helfenberger, le dieron la bienvenida a los 103 jugadores de alrededor del mundo el 24 de octubre durante la ceremonia de inauguración.
