Davis Memorial – Avon Park-November 25, 2016 

             Max Tate Speaks:  A warm sunny day in Florida greeted shufflers for another successful Davis Memorial  Tournament . The club was host to 56 players [28 Pros and 28 Amateurs] making for a perfect Mingle Singles event consisting of 14 full courts. Numbers were down somewhat from previous years but those attending had a wonderful time. Shufflers were greeted by Dick Davis, son of George and Clara Davis in whose memory the tournament is held each season.

            Opening ceremonies were performed by past President, Don Rood who spoke of the Davis’s many years of active membership at the Avon Park Seniors Activities Club.
