dean-myklejordMYKLEJORD WINS SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP

Dean Myklejord is closing in on the Florida Shuffleboard Association Central District Hall of Fame, needing only seven more points thanks to his Championship in the Central District Pro Men’s Singles.  He breezed through the 1st two rounds but hit the wall in his 3rd match.  Tied at a game apiece he was down 17 points but did have the hammer in the last frame.  With one on the centerline and one in the seven things looked bleak as his opponent needed only to clear the good seven to win but low and behold he missed everything and Dean made the double to win.  He breezed through the next two matches only to meet the defending Champion in the finals.  He won the 1st game by two discs and lost the 2nd game by the same margin.  In the Championship game he lead by more than one block but less than two when he stuck on his last shot giving the opponent, a deadly kitchen player, the chance to win but this time the kitchen shot went long and Dean had his Championship.
