Lady Pro’s took over Southern District Mixed Tournament. Sent Along by Bob Smith.

ladies-take-overLady Pro’s took over Southern District Mixed Tournament On Friday, Jan. 6th  as we were nearing the finals, I noticed that we had an awful lot of ladies still playing in our mixed tournament that started with 54 teams.  I looked at the chart, and yes there were already 6 ladies in the finals.  Now, we have only two ladies to go to have all ladies in the finals.  Carol Barber won her match and Consolation was complete.  It was now up to Deb Norton playing with husband Jack to complete the sweep.  Deb had already taken out defending Southern District masters champ Ray Buck to get to the quarters.  Now standing in her way was only the defending FSA state master’s champion Phil Harrison.  It went down to a third game.  Deb and Jack lost the lag on a somewhat color favored court.  She got behind, but somehow pulled it out to complete the main event for the ladies.  Great job Southern District Ladies.  I give you the results.
