Coldwater Ontario Celebrates Another Year of “Winter Shuffling” 2017 04 12.

Time to Cleanup After a Successful Winter Season.

Coldwater Shuffleboard Closing out another Winter Season

The final day of the winter shuffleboard season at the Coldwater club was one of general clean up followed by a dinner celebration.   In the winter months, the Club operates from the Auditorium of the Coldwater Municipal Arena and then moves back to the Curling Arena starting May 2 for the summer program. The roll up courts and supplies from the winter program must be cleaned and stored away for safe keeping until October.   The final day celebration took place at Yannis Family restaurant with 40 members sitting down to a full course dinner of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding or fresh roasted turkey and all the trimmings. President George O’Reilly thanked everyone for their attendance over the winter months in spite of the severe weather experienced in the region this past winter. George also  welcomed the Shufflers to take part in the summer program starting May 2 and also announced the Tournament schedule for the summer and emphasised the Coldwater Tournament of  July 18.  Article and pix sent along by Gary Pipher.
