USA Veterans take up Shuffleboard as a part of a Rehabilitation Program.

Arizona Shuffleboard President Dale Monday Speaks:

Dale and Sheila Monday

The Palm Gardens Mobile Home Resort Summer Shuffleboard Club in Mesa, AZ hosted the first of six shuffleboard clinics for Veterans that are in the Phoenix VA Hospital Rehabilitation Program.  The first clinic was held on June 14th and there were eight veterans, 3 caregivers, a guest, and the VA Rehabilitation Coordinator in attendance.  The veterans were really excited to learn the game and enjoyed the clinic and reception by the Palm Garden volunteers and residents.  Coordinating the clinic was Dale Monday, the Arizona Shuffleboard Association President.  The USA National Secretary, Sheila Monday, and Palm Gardens resident Dean Haske helped with the coordination.  The next clinic is scheduled for June 28th and we are anticipating additional veterans will attend.  The clinic is being sponsored by the Palm Gardens owners, the Activity Association and M&S Shuffleboard.   Dale Monday, AZ Shuffleboard President.  2017 06 17
