Ken Wardley INTO the CNSA HOF. Special Award Category.

Ken Wardley was inducted into the CNSA Hall Of Fame by CNSA President Jim Corbeil

About Ken Wardley and Shuffleboard:
In Alberta
– a founding member of the Foothills Shuffleboard Association (FSA)
– President of FSA from the inception of the club in 2005 – 2015, currently Vice President
– Tournament Director for all hosted FSA tournaments from 2008 – 2013
– taught high school students shuffleboard in the spring of 2013
– officiated at the shuffleboard play downs for the Alberta 55 Games for three years
– won gold in two Alberta 55 Game playoffs
– won silver in the provincial games
– worked with the insurance company to quantify the FSA loss in the catastrophic flood of 2013
– contacted Global Calgary television which did a national story on the FSA club that was
seen across Canada
– FSA was awarded ‘Player of the Week’, a local network award to FSA for it’s work with
seniors in the High River and area communities.
– continuing media contact for every event in which FSA is involved In Canada
– CNSA Director for two years, 2014-2016
– played in the IP in Innisfail, AB in 2011
– qualified to play at the IP in Dieppe, NB in 2013 but couldn’t because of major flooding in High River
– Chairperson of the FSA Committee that submitted and won the bid to host the ISA team
event in High River in July 2018.
– played in the ISA in Seattle in 2012
In the United States
– played for nine years in Hemet, CA in a team event and won the event back to back years
– Golden Vista Shuffleboard Club, Maintenance Director for five years, Vice President for two years, President for two years
– seven years Tournament Director for the Can-Am Shuffleboard Tournament in Apache Junction, AZ, a mixed doubles event where one player is Canadian and one player is
American. It has built up to be one of the most sought after shuffleboard tournaments in the East Valley.
– Western National Shuffleboard Association, 1st and 2nd Vice President, President in January 2017. It is the governing body for one of the largest annual team tournaments in the world.
Ken Wardley has an outstanding personality and is an excellent ambassador for the game of shuffleboard every day of his life. He has given it his all.
This is why we consider him to be worthy of the CNSA Hall of Fame and therefore induct Ken into the CNSA Hall of Fame in the Special Award category.
