Lee County was, once again, pleased to host a State Tournament and a special thanks to Tournament Director Ed O’Neal for a great job.

In the ladies division Pam Nurnberger and Deb Norton won 1st place after a battle with 2nd place winners, Joyce Smith and Julianna Hogye.

Consolation was won by 2 hall of fame players, Helen Biaggi and Ruth Brown who played a tough match with Allie Enos and Colleen Austin.

In the men’s division, Bob Smith teamed up with former FSA President and hall of famer Phil Rebholz and they managed to pull out the 1st place win against Joe Cote and Dave Boncher.

In consolation, 2 of our locals took 1st place, Pete Sikoski and Chuck Wilson.

2nd Place:  Joyce Smith – Julianna Hogye
3rd Place:  Scottie Keusch – Cecile Messier
4th Place:  Joan Buck – Susie Gawinski
1st Place:    Ruth Brown – Helen Biaggi
2nd Place:  Colleen Austin – Allie Enos
3rd Place:  Sandy Kline – Jan Tyssen
4th Place:  Flo Kowalewski – Shirley McCullough

    What Bob did not mention, is that was his first FIRST PLACE win in a state tournament. Congratulations, Bob!!
