Breast Cancer Awareness Month Has Come to an End.

The month of October and Breast Cancer Awareness month has come to an end, however; the disease continues its attack on our bodies.

As I reported earlier that we had accumulated $750 in donations. I’ve researched several organizations in hopes to find a group that is most deserving of these donations. After doing so I have narrowed it down to The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. They were my first choice because they were founded by three surviving women here in Florida. They founded this organization in 1993 in search of a cure through research, education and awareness. I have checked out the financial status of all that I had researched and found that this organization operates on grants and then most solely on individual donations. 90% of all donations go to research and education, less than 10% goes to the administrative usage. Also being that the donations were accumulated in Florida it was my hope to keep it in Florida which my correspondence person has guaranteed me, would happen.
I have now written out a check for $750 to The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and again thank you all for your participation in this campaign.
We will again run this campaign next year as this has shown to be received in such a positive way.
