PALMETTO BLACK FRIDAY FUN DAY
Palmetto Shuffle Club invites all shufflers to play Singles Mingle on Friday, November 24. The entry fee of $10 includes a lunch of hot dogs, chips and drink. Pro Division and Amateur Division. Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 Pros and top 4 Amateurs. Play begins at 9:00 a.m. on the day after Thanksgiving. As a non-sanctioned tournament, no points will be earned – only prestige and cash prizes and a rollicking good time. I once saw a bumper sticker which read “My worst day of shuffling was still better than my best day of shopping with my wife”.

Golf Lakes’ Tom Kase passed away last week. Our sympathy is extended to his widow, Mae Kase, also a popular shuffler in her own right. Tom shuffled for years despite health concerns which would have felled many of us.
FSA players will miss Marjorie Taylor of southern Ontario, a farm widow who played very well in the South East Coast District at Hollywood, and traveled much around Florida, the U.S.A., and the world.
Only 3 teams came to SWCD A-4 at Trailer Estates Friday, preventing points being awarded. They elected to return home, declining to play fun games.
We hope to offer shuffle school after January 1 to recruit new District Amateurs. We will be prepared to meet all entrants at their skill level to improve play.
