Henry Strong, Zephyrhills Shuffleboard Club, helped Earl Ball win his 114th State Championship at Betmar on December 12th. They scraped by the 1st match and fought hard to win the 4th match (1/4 finals) but as sometimes happens they rolled through the semis and the Championship match. They lost only two games in the tournament.
Judy Leger, Betmar, and Katy Walker, ZSC, won the women’s Championship but winning was always in doubt as they went three games in 4 of their 5 matches. Walker showed off her precision shooting by winning all four lags for color giving them the advantage of playing the best color in each match.
