More From Troy: Food, drink, games at Franklin Alley Social Club

Go here to see some great, great pix:

Yet another cool new thing in Troy: Franklin Alley Social Club, offering indoor shuffleboard, bocce, classic arcade games, drinks and a food menu of variously sauced and topped hot dogs and tater tots, opened last week in the basement of the event venue Takk House at 55 Third St. in downtown Troy, a building that was once a Knights of Columbus hall. As the name suggests, the entrance is at the back of the building, accessed via Franklin Street (alleys in Troy have street names).
Like Takk House, it is owned by Frank and Heidi Sicari. They spent the past year transforming a basement bowling alley that closed in the 1970s into the social club, repurposing wood from two lanes as shuffleboard courts.
The club is open to the public and also offers memberships with various benefits. FASC, with cruise-ship decor, is open 4 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday, 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday. Call 518-626-8584. The Facebook page is here.
