Wayne Kitchen Leaves Us; May He Rest in Peace. 2018 01 06

Open Letter To All Shufflers, By Dave Kudro

As FSA President it comes with a heavy heart that I must report the loss of Wayne Kitchen. Wayne was a long time close friend of FSA Treasurer Jeannie Andrews. Wayne really didn’t shuffle, but he would drive his motorhome from the East Coast to all over the state to spend time with Jeannie and his many shuffleboard friends at tournaments.
Terri and I, as well as Landy and George Adkins and others, would enjoy our campfire pot lucks talking about shuffleboard and enjoying each other’s friendships. Wayne was a true gentleman and you couldn’t find a better person to have a relaxing conversation with. I will greatly miss that.
Jeannie has been a long time FSA board member as Treasurer and a close friend of Terri and I.
I always said that when one of our Shuffleboard Family hurts, we all feel that pain too. Today I feel that pain and sorrow.
My condolences to Jeannie, Wayne’s family and to all their friends. He will be forever missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Wayne and comfort to Jeannie.
Condolences may be sent to:

We are so very sorry to see that Wayne has passed. As Mr Kudro said, a nicer guy you could not meet. He was a faithful and loyal shuffleboard follower and always with a smile on his face and so pleasant to have a conversation with. He will be truly missed. Condolences to you Jeannie, and to all Wayne’s close family & friends. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
