CDP14 and CDA14 held at Betmar!! Great Turnout! See Below.

BETMAR PACKS EM IN

Betmar hosted the Central District Tournament this week and there was standing room only for the Pro/Am event as 116 players took part. Lakeland’s team of Dean Myklejord and Larry Roan were the class of the field sailing through each match up to the semifinals before they were challenged. The semis were three back and forth games that could have gone either way; the finals were tough too. The 1st two games were nip and tuck before they lost the lag for color but they managed to win the Championship on the off color.

On Friday 50 more Amateurs showed up to play in The

Denny Wallin

Amateur Draw; there were still a dozen in the Pro/Am event. That’s 166 players in the overall event and all games are 75 points at Betmar. Jimmy Carder and Denny Wallin of the Zephyrills Club won the Amateur event qualifying Denny to become a Pro next season.

Indeed; Zephyrhills demonstrated they have many Shufflers, AND they turn out to compete!!!  Participation was up by 30 over the same tournament in 2017!!!
