Did You Know by Kenny Offenther and Stan McCormack

Kenny Speaks: Did You Know -EARLY SHUFFLEBOARD WAS SO POPULAR IN ENGLAND THAT A LAW WAS PASSED BANNING IT AS IT WAS TAKING TIME AWAY FROM THE “IMPORTANT” TASK OF ARCHERY?

Stan Speaks:  DID YOU KNOW that in July of 2012 ISA President Michael Zellner led a group of 10 Shufflers to Lithuania???  It was truly AN ADVENTURE!!

That is correct Shufflers: On July 4th, 2012, Gus Bondi, Jim Bailey, Lois McCormack, Stan McCormack from North America will fly to Frankfurt Germany where they will meet up with Michael Zellner, Bernar Borges, Camile Caldas, and Gabriel Zellner of South America. From Frankfurt they will fly to Riga in Latvia and then travel to Siauliai, Lithuania where they will be joined by Dieter Hussmann and Marius Runge of Germany. All will participate in this TAFISA (The Association For International Sport Assn.) world class presentation of Sports. Held every four years, the week-long Games are a vibrant and entertaining experience, offering a unique opportunity for the public to discover the traditional and contemporary games and sports of cultures from across the globe. Since their beginning in Bonn, Germany, in 1992, Games have been held around the world, with the most recent games in Busan, Korea, in 2008.
The Shufflers are the Guests of TAFISA. We wish to express our appreciation to the Organization for their generosity. (Each of us was required to pay for our own travel)
