Did You Know by Kenny Offenther and Stan McCormack.

DID YOU NOW by KENNY OFFENTHER?  IN 1981 THE ST PETE CLUB REQUESTED THE STATE MASTERS BE HELD AT THEIR CLUB FOREVER AS IT HAD IN THE PAST. AFTER MUCH DISCUSSION THE PROPOSAL WAS TURNED DOWN LEADING TO THE ROTATING DISTRICT SYSTEM WE USE TODAY.

DID YOU KNOW THAT TD, Glenn Monroe, who correctly prides himself on having everything superbly well planned and executed, offered an apology explaining that the unusual number would take just an extra minute to complete before we could make the draw??
SHUFFLEBOARD IS ALIVE AND WELL!! 2015 01 15  Not that you need evidence of the above if you live in FL, AZ, TX, OR CA, but I will now give you just that > hard evidence.
When Lois and I arrived at the Lakeland, FL Club this a.m. there was such a line up to pay the registration, that we were dumbfounded!! 140 Shufflers had elected to turnout at our normal District Tournament!!
FOR A FIRST, the TD, Glenn Monroe, who correctly prides himself on having everything superbly well planned and executed, offered an apology explaining that the unusual number would take just an extra minute to complete before we could make the draw!! Great News when you examine the reason! Great News for those of us who “love shuffleboard”!!
The Day Went Well >> most of the 32 Courts kept full most of the day. Glenn’s record is still intact!! Let’s see if we can break that record next week in St Cloud, FL.
IF YOUR DISTRICT SETS A RECORD, WHY NOT SHARE IT WITH ME??
Stan McCormack. 2015 01 15.
