Hawthorne Rotational!! by Al Dronsfield.

Al Speaks: Well another week is in the books for our summer Rotationals. A much larger turnout this week vs last week at Tavares. In all I believe we had 33 participants. A mix of Amateur’s and Pro’s. This week we had some amateur’s playing with the pro’s and an amateur bye was the pusher for them.
Weather was great as it is warming up. The courts ran consistently smooth.
The next two weeks will be played at Leesburg to begin to pick up the slack from Tavares.
We had two groupings today with the Pro’s having 5 placements and the Amateur’s having 4.
It was real close in the pro ranks, 2 points separated Rick Enright and Al Dronsfield. There were 3 players with 4 wins and 2 with 3 wins in the 5 placements.
In the amateur ranks there were 4 placements and Mark Engel led the way easily with 94 year old Betty Mondeel chasing him down to take 2nd.
The results follow…

Pro’s

1st. Rick Enright ———————————————————- Tavares
2nd. Al Dronsfield ——————————————————— Tavares
3rd. Marion Lohbusch —————————————————- Hawthorne
4th. Carol May ————————————————————– Hawthorne
5th. George Snyder ——————————————————- Clermont

Amateur’s

1st. Mark Engel ———————————————————— Leesburg
2nd. Betty Mondeel ——————————————————– Hawthone
3rd. Jeff Geesey ———————————————————– Leesburg
4th. Ron Bodo ————————————————————– Tavares

Thanks for showing up and mark it done on your calendars for Leesburg next week.
