Dale W. McPherson, 92, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Dale was born on September 27, 1926 in North Fairfield, Ohio. He was the son of Carl and Dorothy (Snyder) McPherson.
Honest, determined, and loving are great words that describe Dale. He treated his family with great kindness, and loved the cherished time he spent with them. His tender, gentle spirit made him stand out to others. Dale was a skilled woodworker. Dale visited all 50 states, he greatly enjoyed traveling and camping. Marilyn and Dale loved spending winters in Texas for over 19 years, and were accomplished shuffleboard players. Dale served in the Army Air Corp, and was a former member of the Plymouth Methodist Church.

Dale is survived by his sons, Craig (Barb) McPherson of Shelby, Ohio and Steven (Lisa) McPherson of Bluffton, South Carolina; daughters, Pam (Ron) Seibert of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Debra (Greg) Fink of Bellville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding Dale in death were his parents; wife, Marilyn (Cheesman) McPherson; a great-great granddaughter; two brothers, and three sisters.
The family will observe private services. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the McPherson family.
