TIME FOR SHUFFLERS TO ENGAGE AND ENERGIZE EACH OTHER by EARL BALL
Well now, here we are and where is that!
None of us knows when we will be able to play shuffleboard again and we are scattered to the winds. Maybe we can entertain each other with our personal stories and give each other hope.
Stan McCormack, email@example.com, has agreed to come out of retirement for a while to help. We need stories from as many people, don’t all have to be players, as we can get. Maybe Josh can give us some insight on his recently gained experience with the manufacturing and sales of equipment. Maybe John Brown and Ken Offenther can share some history. Nobody knows the rules and how they are applied better than Glenn Monroe.
Wouldn’t we all be curious as to how the virus is affecting shufflers in Europe, England and Australia. Who better to tell us than Deter, Peter Davis and Ian. How about the players from the Royal Palms in New York and Chicago; they are young and used to sending messages. I bet they can share stories with the rest of us.
Do you realize today was the final day of the Florida State Masters! Of course, we didn’t play it. President Dave had some great ideas for that event to include playing in the evening in front of big crowds. Wouldn’t we all like to hear from Dave on his thoughts for the future as concerns many topics, maybe even playing the Masters next fall in Historic St Pete in front of those crowds.
I’ll do my best, and I know Stan will, to bring Shuffleboard to life in these trying times.
We need you!
I know many of you have extra time on your hands right now let’s see what we can do!
