Bill Hoyer announced that All Ohio Shuffleboard Tournaments for May and June have been canceled. We will decide about July and August later.
Earl Ball Speaks: I am sorry Ohio has had to cancel tournaments for May and June. I do hope the summer National, in July, can be played for the youngsters. It’s such a great thing to see and they will only be this young once. Cindy and I had a chance to root for the very youngest girl to win a prize. I believe her name was Maddie Sudomir. I don’t know if I spelled either name correctly. Our current plan is to go back to Lakeside to be a part of the festivities again. I admit we are a bit apprehensive. I know the folks from Royal Palms Brooklyn and Chicago are planning to play and I would very much like to see all of them and play against the future stars of shuffleboard. They were great fun at the Can/am tournament but, of course, Brooklyn and Chicago are having more than their share of trouble right now. Maybe I get some encouragement from some of the young players.
Earl Ball.
