It is not often that we receive a response from our postings. Jackie and Darden did just that, and to demonstrate just how much it is appreciated, I am going to post it verbatim. For those who did not read the original article, their MVP Award, click here: https://theshuffler.net/2012/12/02/and-the-mvp-award-goes-to-darden-nelms/ And now, here is their reply:
“Good Afternoon Stan, Thank you very much for remembering me as part of the FSA 100th Anniversary History. We continue to fondly remember the great friends we made and the things we did while shuffling. Jackie and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary this past summer and we continue to feel toward each other exactly the way we did on our first date. Both continue to be in good health and enjoy being near our children and grandchildren.
We browse the FSA site frequently and enjoy seeing old friends doing well. Jackie and I miss shuffling and, if we were ever to return to FL, I know we will continue on our quest to be the best we can be. In fact, I keep my cue “greased up” for action.
If you or any of our friends have the time and can stop by, our home will be yours. Please give us a call and do come by.
Thanks again for the remarks and recognition, it is truly appreciated.
Keep up the good work in your promotion of shuffleboard.
Best Regards, Darden and Jackie”
Sorry we missed your 50th. Belated Best Wishes from FSA Shufflers.

Stan, sure do appreciate your remembering us and we think about FSA and the many friends we made while shuffling. Thanks to Earl and Jacques whose comments are also appreciated. We are doing well up here in north Georgia and if anyone gets close to Gainesville give us a call and drop by.
Every one be safe and take care.
