I’ve played with many new players in the last ten years and I would like to mention to them it would benefit your game and help you to break into the points to stay away from suicide ally unless you need it. Keep thinking the best time to use suicide ally is on your last disc when your opponent has the hammer. How often when we start out on yellow and black fails to score their hammers and then we score both of ours and again our opponent misses their next hammers, we are in such a great position, my partner’s opponent puts up a St. Pete and my partner goes down suicide ally and shoots himself into the ten-off. There goes our great position. I want to bring this to all new players because most of you love to play suicide ally. If they make it, and it helps to win the game, they just can’t wait to do it again. I’m leaving the tips for Earl because he is so good at it, but shuffleboard is made up of strategy and I see so many new players fall into this trap. Suicide ally can win games but also lose games. Be smart.
