We Tell You A Little About Ed O’Neal.

The remarks below, in caps, were offered by Presenter Ken Offenther in support of Ed O’Neal being awarded an MVPerson as an integral part of the celebrations of this, our 100th year of shuffleboard in the State. Ed’s work with the computer causes each of us to reflect on the amount and type of progress we have made during the 100 years, a fitting way to help us celebrate!!      

ALTHOUGH NOT KNOWN PRIMARILY AS A PLAYER, BY HIS OWN BRILLIANT ANALYTICAL CALCULATIONS HE WILL BECOME ONE IN 2019!

THIS NATIVE CANADIAN’S EXPERTISE IS AS AN INFORMATION PROGRAM DESIGNER. HIS PROGRAM BROUGHT FLORIDA SHUFFLEBOARD INTO THE 21ST CENTURY WITH COMPUTER TOURNAMENT APPLICATIONS.
FOR THE F.S.A. HE WEARS 3 HATS, KEEPER OF THE RECORDS, STATE WEBMASTER, and PREVIEW EDITOR WHERE OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS HIS TALENTS HAVE SAVED US THOUDANDS OF DOLLARS. 

2 DAYS AGO ED LEARNED HE WILL BE INDUCTED IN THE FSA HALL OF FAME. TODAY WE HONOR HIM WITH A MOST VALUABLE PERSON PIN.  2012 10 15.

Ed ONeal – Special Award
Southern District
Ed moved to Sebring, FL in 1998.  He served as  Avon Park Shuffleboard Club Treasurer during the 2000-2001 season.  Ed made State Amateur in 2001 and Pro in 2003.  He became a Tournament Director in 2001 and currently directs in the Southern District.  Ed developed the Tourn-A-Mation program to run tournaments on a computer.  From 2001-2009, he produced a Central District Calendar and Club Directories for Avon Park, Sebring and Lakeland.  From 2002-2009, he was the Central District Webmaster and KOR.  Ed became the FSA KOR in 2008 and FSA Preview Editor in 2009.  In 2009, he received the Central District Hall of Fame “Special Award.”  In 2010, Ed took over the layout and design of the Preview.  He also developed the NSA Record System Software.
