We Tell You Just A Little About Hugh Ormiston.

Hugh, on our right, accepts the GRANT.

In May of 1992, the Scugog Club was in the Port Perry Arena.  The Club at that time had 111 Members.

In 1993 the Club relocated to the Blackstock Arena due to the excessive rental for the Port Perry Arena. (Both Blackstock and Port Perry are in Ontario.)

When the CNSA began its Hall of Fame in May of 2006, Hugh was invited and attended along with his wife Olive. Hugh was in a wheel chair at that time and was unable to speak because of a stroke. However; he was introduced to the audience by John Heron and received an extremely warm welcome.

In July of 1993 Hugh accepted a cheque in the amount of $15,128.00 from MP Ross Stevenson. The money was from the federal New Horizons and was to be used to enhance and expand shuffleboard programmes for seniors.  Along with providing ongoing activities for the more than 100 members, the Club will host regular tournaments for more than 200 seniors from the area.
