THE 2009-2010 SHUFFLEBOARD SEASON HAS BEEN TAYLORMADE!
It is of particular pleasure to see the recent success of Larry Taylor who has jolted into the Top 8 for the time during the last few weeks. Nobody tries harder on the courts and now it is paying off.
What his wife Judy has done this year is truly phenomenal–leading the ladies in points by a ton and on track to setting a modern record for most points by a lady in a single season. Besides all that “stuff” she remains the sweet southern lady from Kentucky with a disposition and modesty that many of us would do well to emulate.
Congrats to the Taylors! The shuffleboard season of 2009-2010 has truly been Taylor Made!!

Judy’s Emotional State as She Was On The Cusp!
When Judy was on the cusp of establishing a new Modern Day Record at Clearwater in 2010, The Shuffler asked her if she would share with our readers, her emotional state of mind. Here is her reply.
“Being as honest as I can be, my emotional state of mind is one of peace and tranquility. About the same as it has been all this season. I never dreamed I would be at this place or never strived for it. I have played one tournament at a time. If I place I honestly feel blessed and thankful and if I don’t place I feel blessed and thankful for the enjoyment of shuffling and time spent with friends and look forward to the next tournament. Winning is wonderful and everyone wants to win but there are more important things in life.
I realize any ability I have has been given to me from God. If I would break the record I would accept it as one more blessing, if not, I have already accomplished more than I ever dreamed of. I have peace within.
Thank you Stan for the opportunity to express my feelings and I hope to see many of my friends at Clearwater for the Tournament of Champions.
The Shuffler: Our Thanks to Judy “For Sharing”.

TAYLOR IS GONNA BE HARD TO LIVE WITH!
Larry Taylor, partnering with Dwayne Cross, won the largest tournament we’ve played this season, a full 64 chart at Betmar, Zephyrhills. Larry did that on top of winning the National Championship with Larry Mardis in Trailer Estates, Bradenton, last week with a 61 chart. As I say he is going to be hard to live with! When he and Dwayne beat Stan and I in the semis, he turned to me and said that’s the first time I’ve ever beaten you; my comment was I wish you hadn’t done that because I didn’t want to know you could; he’s gonna be hard to live with!
Maybe you think it’s easy to do what he has done or maybe you have no idea. Well let me tell you what little I’ve seen but tells me a lot. When I got to the tournament site on Sunday he was already there charting courts. Oh, by the way when I left at 4:00 he was still there charting. I understand he has worked hard and done well in his District and can be seen working on his game on Saturday mornings. I dare say he has done much more than that and it’s beginning to pay off. It’s true he’s made it to the top of my list but I wish him well, it’s nice to see one of the good guys do well.
By the way, wife Judy is his biggest fan and willingly handles the job of stick bearer and #1 cheer leader. She couldn’t be prouder!
