It is my pleasure to sincerely thank the “Midland Committee Members” and Volunteers of the 33rd ISA World Shuffleboard Championship Tournament for a “JOB WELL DONE.”
Special thanks to Chairperson Gary Pipher, who with the help of his wife Barb, dedicated the last two years making this a world class event. Gary demonstrated a strong quality of leadership. Stan and Lois McCormack with their expertise and shuffleboard knowledge, worked closely with Gary. We are still enjoying the tournament because of Stan’s pictures and articles – Thank you.
Bill and Lorraine Pollock is another couple we thank for their shuffleboard commitment. Lorraine was our loyal, dedicated tournament director. These couples and the rest of the committee spent countless hours of decision making, to make sure the Midland Tournament met the ISA expectations so our International visitors would take home wonderful memories.
Many thanks, to ISA President Michael Zellner for working closely with us for two years, using his professional leadership. It is always nice to share fellowship with Michael, his wife Ivone, Gabriel and ISAbella.
We are always happy to have Jim and Beth Allen join us at our ISA Tournaments. We thank them for their support, their shuffleboard work dedication and their donations to the ISA Tournaments.
Thanks to the Town of Midland for all their support. Thanks to all the nations, who joined us with their hugs and laughter. It took all of you to make a successful, memorable tournament.
It’s people like you who make all the difference in the world. You people took the time to go out of your way to make the 33rd ISA Midland Tournament a huge success. My heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation for all of you.
We were honoured for the first time to have the UN Netherlands Ladies and Men’s Teams take part. Thanks for the youth joining us – makes us older folk feel young!! We missed our shuffleboard friends from two member nations of Norway and Russia.
We are all winners to be able to take part in such a prestige event. I treasure the many friendships that I have made through the ISA Tournaments.
Hoping you all took home wonderful memories of your visit to Canada. May you all be blessed with GOOD HEALTH, LOVE and LAUGHTER.
Until we meet again. Love in my heart. Myrna Bilton, ISA 1st Vice President. 2014 09 01.
What an AMAZING WEEK at Niteroi, Brazil!
The 36th ISA World Championship was a huge success and will always be remembered for the warm hospitality of our Brazilian friends. The scenery was breathtaking – Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Guanabara Bay with its sandy beaches and many more attractions that we visited.
“Appreciate the people who touch our lives with kindness and make it better.”
On behalf of the International Shuffleboard Association, I want to sincerely thank Bernar Borges, president of the Brazilian Shuffleboard Association, and his committee for hosting this memorable championship. Paulo Pavao and the many volunteers did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and comfortable…helping us at all times and feeding us with lots of delicious Brazilian food. You were all incredibly enthusiastic, organized and helpful throughout the event.
Thank you to Glenn Monroe, our tournament director, and to Jim and Beth Allen for their ongoing support and dedication to shuffleboard. Their work is always very much appreciated.
Congratulations to John Brown for his induction into the ISA Hall of Fame. John is most deserving of this prestigious award.
