PATSY JORDAN:  WE CELEBRATE THE BEGINNING OF HER ADVENTURE

PATSY EARNED INSTANT PRO AT THE FSA NON-WALKING STATE SINGLES by DEFEATING MANY OF THE VERY BEST FLORIDA SHUFFLERS!!

I had the opportunity to play a couple of games against our newest Pro and the Florida Shuffleboard Association non-walking State Singles Champion yesterday at Betmar in the Saturday afternoon round robin.  She still hasn’t come back to earth and I hope she doesn’t for a while.  I’m sure husband Marshall is living hard right now with our Newest Star.  She dumped me in the soup several times as we played and talked about her experience.  In the first round of the tournament she kept asking herself what Marshall would do in the situation she found herself in but after a while she decided to heck with it she would do what she does!  What she does is shoot blocks for the kitchen and she is good at it!

Non-walking is a frame game so 10 points is 10 points and she was hot, just ask Clara Lohmeyer of Betmar, certainly one of our best players; Patsy took her out in the quarters or defending Champion Joyce Marquis of Bradenton whom she took out in the semis.  I asked Nicole Archambault of Avon Park, at the District Tournament on Thursday; that’s who Patsy defeated for the Championship what she thought.  Nicole said she won the first game easily but the next two were kitchen, kitchen, kitchen!  I had a chance to see the end of the last game; Patsy had the hammer in the last frame and the lead but kept playing on the board and Nicole got her in the kitchen to take the lead, Patsy missed the reverse but made it on the next block.  She didn’t need to shoot the hammer but she did as we all held our breath, she won.  Patsy looked like she was in shock when it was over, we were all happy for her and we are all proud of her!
