Yoshiko Suzuki is 72 years old and lives in Yokohama. She was introduced to the game of shuffleboard in 1999. At that time she was a volunteer for the ISA tournament in Yokohama. After that, she has played shuffleboard in eleven ISA tournaments and one ISA inaugural in England with her husband. It is a great pleasure for her to meet wonderful people from all over the world at the ISA events. She is a member of FTSC in Yokohama and had an experience of an officer of JNSA for 3 years as a treasurer. Yoshiko has been the president of Japan National Shuffleboard Association since 2008 and was proudly inducted into the ISA Hall of Fame.
Yoshiko has provided strong leadership to the Japanese, both administratively, and on the Courts! In Seattle in 2012, the Women’s Team she captained won the Silver Medal. Yoshiko stands “tall” in the centre of the photo. (Click on pic to expand.)
An even greater “moment” for Yoshiko was when she lead the Japanese Women to their very first World Championship in Australia in 2008. It was a great moment for Shuffleboard!! Click on pic to see those medals flash!!
And finally the photo of Yoshiko being inducted into the ISA HOF at Seattle in 2012.
