- Bridgewater NS
Bridgewater is located on Nova Scotia’s South Shore on the tidal LaHave River. Discovered by Champlain in 1604 where he left LaHave, France heading for the New World.
Our license plate displays, “Canada’s Ocean Playground” for a good reason. It’s home to the world’s highest tides, endless coastline and beaches, world renowned Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, lobster, watch watching , endless scenery and more.
We are 20 km from Lunenburg town “ a UNESCO World Heritage Site.” It’s also home to the famous fishing schooner “THE BLUENOSE .” It’s on our dime, and it never lost a race. It became Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador to the world. It may have influenced the name I choose for our
“Bluenose Shuffleboard Club.”
We are located south of the 45th degree parallel compared to the Canada /USA border on the 49th out west.
Recommend people google -visit NovaScotia.com or call toll free for information 1-800-565-0000 and request the 2020 Doers and Dreamers guide (the latest version). Hope to see you all in Nova Scotia.
No better place in the world! May be a wee bit prejudiced!
