All Shufflers take this opportunity to extend to Barb and Gary the very best wishes on the occasion of this significant milestone.

** The photo I have shared with Stan was taken the year Barbara and I were married, standing at the back of our 1955 Studebaker, and yes, that was the car we drove on our honeymoon trip, and to where else but Niagara Falls.     After a few nights at the Falls we then went on up through the USA and crossed back into Canada at Gananoque. Wow, did we think that was a long trip, and of course it was in that old 55 Studebaker.

*** We have been very fortunate in our 53 years of marriage and have been blessed with 2 wonderful children and 4 of the greatest grandchildren. The two oldest girls have both graduated University and the youngest boys are still in College. Who knows what life will bring for them, but if they are as fortunate as Barb and I have been, they can look forward to lots happy days ahead. We get to see our children and grandchildren at the family cottage throughout the summer months, and sometimes they will visit us in Florida during the winter.

Like so many others couples, shuffleboard was never one of the items on our agenda until after retirement, and since then, we have met many great people, and all because of the game of shuffleboard.

 I keep hearing that youth is the future of Shuffleboard and possibly that is true, but I tend to believe the future of the game relies on retired couples like us who have enjoyed good health and have lived a happy life.
