Regular readers will recall that Lois and I traveled to Europe to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 1944. We had with us 4 “Vets” of WW II, 2 had landed on D-Day, two had landed on D-Day + 2. In a sentence it was a wonderful Experience!! We spent most of our time on Juno Beach, the code name for the Beach assigned to the Canadians. We also visited 1 of the 2 American Beaches > Omaha. To see my postings from the trip, look for the major title Categories, and select “Travel Personal”. Scroll down once the page opens.
HOWEVER; due to some wonderful technology, if you click on the link below, and when the window opens, you will find there are several pix. When the 1st pic opens, drag your mouse from left to right and you will see the same picture, save and except, 1 is in 2014 and 1 in 1944. Get it? There are two shots of the same pic. To move to the next pic, after viewing the two versions of pic 1, roll down to the next pic!! AMAZING!! NOT ONLY, our Tour visited most of these sites. You will be able to tell the location of the shot by reading at the bottom of each. Click here: Image fader Should you not be able to make it work, e-mail me and I will telephone you!! (Really!!)
